This is a summary, not the contract

This page describes Alta Padel's standard warranty and supply terms in plain language so that you know what you are buying. The contract of sale issued with your order is the binding document, and where the two differ, the contract governs. Nothing here is legal advice, and we would expect you to have your own counsel review the contract before you sign it.

01 Warranty at a glance

Every part, and how long.

Periods run from the date of handover. Cover is against defects in materials and manufacture under normal use, on courts maintained to the schedule in the Court Care guide. The steel period depends on the finish specified — see the first two entries.

The finish decides the steel warranty

Ten years on the steel applies indoors, and outdoors only where the full HDG / C5-M system has been specified. On the standard finish an outdoor court carries four years. The upgrade has to be confirmed before steel is cut, so it is a decision made at order rather than afterwards.

Transferable once

If the facility is sold, the remaining warranty transfers to the new owner on written notice to us within thirty days of completion, provided the maintenance record comes with it. There is no charge for the transfer.

02 What each covers

In more detail.

Steel — 10 or 4 years

Columns, top ring, crossbars and bracing, against perforation and structural corrosion. Ten years indoors, and outdoors where the full HDG / C5-M system has been specified. Four years outdoors on the standard finish. This is a corrosion warranty on the steel; it is not a structural or wind-load warranty.

Powder coat — 8 years

The topcoat against blistering, flaking and loss of adhesion. This is cosmetic cover. Surface marks, ball scuffs and scratches from impact or handling are wear, not coating failure.

Glass — 10 years

Manufacturing defect, delamination and spontaneous failure — the rare case where tempered glass fails without external cause. Breakage from impact is not a defect, and a chip left unreported is not either.

Turf — 3 years

Fiber breakdown, seam separation and color loss beyond the normal fade any outdoor surface shows. It assumes the turf has been brushed, the infill kept at depth and the specified grade of sand used. Wear in the highest-traffic zones is expected and is not a defect.

Lighting — 5 years

Luminaires, drivers and housings against failure within rated operating conditions. Normal lumen depreciation over the life of an LED is not a failure; output falling significantly below the design figure is.

Fittings — 1 year

Gates, hinges, fixings and fittings against manufacturing defect. The net is a consumable and is replaced as it wears rather than warranted.

Installation — 1 year

Where the court was installed by our crew, against defects arising from that work. Where a court was installed by others, this cover does not apply and component warranties are conditional on the installation meeting our assembly drawings.

What a valid claim gets you

Repair or replacement of the affected component, at our election, including the labor to carry it out. Where a component is no longer manufactured we supply the nearest equivalent. Consequential losses — lost court revenue, cancelled bookings, event costs — are not covered, which is standard across the industry and worth knowing rather than discovering.

03 What is not covered

Stated plainly.

Every warranty has exclusions. Ours are here rather than in small print, because a client who is surprised by an exclusion two years in has been badly served.

Normal wear

  • Turf wear in baseline, service box and net zones
  • Sand migration and the need to top up infill
  • Ball marks and scuffs on glass, mesh and frame
  • Gradual lumen depreciation in LED fixtures
  • Net tape and tensioner wear
  • Normal fade of turf and applied graphics

Events outside our control

  • Storm, flood, earthquake, fire and lightning
  • Vandalism, theft and impact from vehicles
  • Ground movement, settlement or subsidence
  • Power surge and supply faults

Things done to the court

  • Damage from unspecified sand, chemicals or cleaning products
  • Pressure washing the turf at close range
  • Ammonia or solvent cleaners on the glass
  • Modification, drilling or welding of the structure
  • Parts fitted that are not ours or approved by us
  • Repairs carried out by others without our agreement
  • Use outside padel — other sports, events, storage

Groundworks

  • The slab, ring beam, drainage and their performance
  • Cracking, movement or ponding in the base
  • Anything arising from a base that did not meet our tolerances at installation

Groundworks is the exclusion worth reading twice. The slab is built by your contractor to our specification, and it is not ours to warrant. This is exactly why we issue the Groundworks Guideline at order, review your contractor's drawings free of charge, and survey the base before we install. All three exist to keep this from becoming a problem.

04 Conditions

What keeps it valid.

Three things, none of them onerous, and all of them things a well-run club is doing anyway.

  1. 1

    Maintain the court

The daily, weekly and monthly routine in the Court Care guide (AP-SVC-2026), carried out by your team, plus periodic servicing to at least the annual cycle. Alta courts qualify for discounted Court Care when it is prepaid at handover. The cycle is your choice, but some cycle is a condition of cover.

  2. 2

    Keep a record

Dates, not memory. A simple log of what was done and when — your team's routine plus our visit reports — is all that is required. It is also the single most useful thing you can have if a claim is ever disputed, and the reason we log every service visit in writing.

  3. 3

    Report promptly

Tell us when you find something, not at the next scheduled visit. A defect that was reported and then worsened is covered; a defect that was watched for a season generally is not, because by then the damage is use rather than fault.

The one that matters most

Anything on the glass goes to us the same day. A chip at an edge or a bolt hole is the one thing on a padel court that can become a safety issue between one session and the next. Photograph it, note where it is, send it. We would rather look at fifty photographs of nothing than miss one — and a chip reported the day it appears is a different conversation from a panel that failed three months later.

We will not void a warranty over a missed brushing week. These conditions exist to distinguish a court that was looked after from one that was not, and that distinction is usually obvious to everyone involved.

05 Making a claim

Four steps.

1

Tell us

Email service@altapadel.us with the club name, court number and what you have found. A wide photograph for location and a close-up for detail.

2

We respond

Within one business day. Many things can be resolved on the phone or by sending a part. If it needs looking at, we arrange a visit.

3

Assessment

We inspect, establish the cause, and tell you in writing whether it is covered — including when the answer is no, and why.

4

Resolution

Repair or replacement scheduled, parts ordered, and a date agreed with you. Urgent safety items are prioritized.

What helps a claim

  • Photographs taken when the issue first appeared
  • Your maintenance log
  • Our service visit reports
  • The as-built documentation issued at handover
  • A note of anything unusual — a storm, an impact, an event on the court

Safety first, paperwork second

If a glass panel is cracked or chipped, a structural member has visibly moved, or the surface is unsafe underfoot, close the court and tell us. Do not wait for a warranty determination to decide whether the court should be in use.

We will move on safety items regardless of whether the cause turns out to be covered. Who pays is a conversation that can happen afterwards.

06 Terms of supply

The commercial terms.

Order & specification

  • Quotations valid ninety days from issue
  • An order is confirmed when the specification is frozen and the deposit received
  • Lead time runs from confirmed order, not from signature
  • Branding artwork must be approved in writing before production
  • Changes after the specification is frozen may affect price and lead time, and are quoted before they are made

Payment

  • Deposit at order, balance per the schedule in your contract
  • All figures in US dollars, exclusive of applicable taxes
  • Title passes on payment in full; risk passes on delivery to site

Delivery & installation

  • Delivery dates are booked against a confirmed site-ready date
  • We will not ship to a site that is not ready to receive the court
  • Site readiness criteria are in the Groundworks Guideline (AP-GW-2026)
  • Where a booked installation cannot proceed because the site is not ready, remobilization is chargeable
  • Storage beyond the agreed delivery window may be chargeable

Beyond our control

  • Lead times may be affected by shipping, customs, port congestion and weather
  • We will tell you as soon as we know, and we will not let you find out from a missing container

Liability

Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement remedies described in this document and to the value of the contract. We do not accept liability for consequential or indirect loss, including lost revenue, lost bookings or event cancellation. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

Contracts are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. We would far rather resolve a disagreement in a conversation than a courtroom, and in thirty years in this industry that is how essentially all of them have been resolved.

This page is a plain-language summary of terms that appear in full in your contract of sale. Where the two differ, the contract governs. Have your counsel review it — we expect you to, and we would think less of a buyer who did not.

Padel elevated

Ten years is a long time to stand behind something.

Maintenance is a condition of cover — the routine is in Court Care (AP-SVC-2026), and the base tolerances the groundworks exclusion refers to are in the Groundworks Guideline (AP-GW-2026).
