Alta Padel wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or rely on high contrast.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the international benchmark referenced by most accessibility regulation. We test against it rather than claiming conformance we have not verified.

What we have done

  • Text and background color combinations across the site have been measured against the AA contrast thresholds, and colors were adjusted where they fell short — including our own brand gold where it appears as small text.
  • All functionality is reachable by keyboard, and focus is visible as you move through the page.
  • Every form field has a label that is properly associated with it, and validation messages are announced rather than shown by color alone.
  • Images carry meaningful alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Headings run in a logical order so the page can be navigated by structure.
  • The site is built as plain, standards-based HTML, which is the most reliably accessible thing a website can be.

We do not use an accessibility overlay. These are the widgets that add a floating icon opening a menu of font and contrast controls. They are widely reported by screen reader users to interfere with the assistive technology people already use and have properly configured, and they do not fix underlying problems. We would rather build the site correctly than install a badge that says we have.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where we fall short than imply we are perfect.

Our PDF documents. The technical documents in our library are generated from our design files and are not currently tagged for accessibility. Reading order, table structure and figure descriptions may not be conveyed correctly to a screen reader, and the technical figures and drawings have no text alternative. We are working on this. In the meantime, see below — we will get you the content another way, at no cost and without fuss.

Third-party content generally. Where we embed or link to something we did not build, we cannot guarantee it meets the same standard.

If something does not work for you

Contact us and we will help directly — and we will get you the information regardless of the barrier.

If a document is not readable for you, tell us which one and what format works, and we will send you the content in a form you can use — plain text, a readable Word document, or a person on the phone reading through it with you. There is no charge and you do not need to explain why.

We aim to respond within one business day.

If you find a barrier anywhere on this site, we want to hear about it. Telling us which page you were on and what you were using — browser, screen reader, or other assistive technology — helps us fix it faster, but do not let a lack of detail stop you from getting in touch.
