AP-I01
Super Panoramic Indoor
Minimal steel in the sightline. 42-unit suspended lighting ring at 7 m. Level slab, no ring beam.
03 Model 3 · AP-P02 HW
For sites that see more wind than the standard court is designed for. The same open Panoramic court — no steel at the glass joints — with heavier corner posts, a heavier head rail and a higher design target. AP-P02 HW is built to order: factory drawings are prepared before it is built.
Specification
| Structure | Steel corner posts HSS 6″ × 6″ × 1/4″, flat 8″ × 4″ × 1/4″ head rail (4″ visible), 4″ × 4″ top ring |
|---|---|
| Glass | 12 mm tempered, bolted top and bottom, sacrificial polymer clips at the joints |
| Wind design target | 110 mph on an open site, about 135 mph sheltered (ASCE 7-22), for engineering review |
| Finish | Zinc primer and powder topcoat; hot-dip galvanizing (ISO 1461) and the factory C5-M system available as options; 316 stainless option |
| Lighting | 8 × 300 W AP-L300-O on four 8 m curved swan poles, as AP-P02 |
| Foundation | 6″ slab with perimeter ring beam and a footing at each corner post |
| Playing area | 65′-7″ × 32′-10″ |
Two parts of the frame. The corner posts are 6″ instead of 4″, and the head rail at the top of the glass is a heavier section; the design target is 110 mph instead of 90. Still no steel at the glass joints: same glass and clips, same turf, same lighting, same customization program.
Wind figures are design targets to ASCE 7-22 on an open site (Exposure C); a site sheltered by buildings or trees (Exposure B) is about 20% higher. AP-P02 suits sheltered sites and lower-wind areas; open sites across most of the inland US call for AP-P02 HW, and the Gulf and Atlantic coasts call for AP-X03. These are targets for engineering review, confirmed for each site by a US engineer’s stamped calculation before a site-specific quote.
Lighting
Most courts on the market ship with 6 m poles. Alta's standard is 8 m. Higher mounting flattens the light distribution across the court, cuts the glare a player sees when tracking a lob, and reduces the hot spots directly under each fixture. Four curved swan poles, two luminaires each, on the side columns, 4.2 m in from each end. Lower mounting heights are available on request.
Panel, service, breakers and final circuit design are the electrical contractor's responsibility and must meet local code. Alta Padel supplies the luminaires, poles and mounting hardware.
Foundation
The standard outdoor build, and the one most projects use. A reinforced slab with a continuous concrete ring beam cast around the perimeter, which stiffens the slab edge where every column anchor lands and resists the overturning forces that wind puts into the structure.
Use when: outdoor court, AP-P02 Panoramic Outdoor and AP-P02 HW High Wind, new construction. Both add a 6'-0" square footing at each corner post.
The slab must extend at least 1'-8" (0.5 m) beyond the court on all four sides, giving a minimum poured area of 69'-0" × 36'-2" (21.0 × 11.0 m). Concrete class, reinforcement, the ring beam section and the permitted fall are set out in the Groundworks Guideline.
